Christmas at The Cumberland
Celebrate Christmas Day in the heart of York with a relaxed festive meal at The Cumberland. Our specially created Christmas Day menu combines seasonal ingredients, traditional favourites and a few contemporary touches, giving you the chance to sit back, enjoy the occasion and leave all the cooking to us.
Choose from dishes including North Atlantic Prawn Cocktail, Game Terrine and Wild Mushroom & Truffle Crumpet to start, followed by Butter Roast Turkey Breast with all the festive favourites, Roasted Halibut, Braised Beef Cheek or our Roasted Jerusalem Artichoke & Chestnut Wellington. Finish with Christmas Pudding, Dark Chocolate Delice, Mulled Wine Poached Pears or a selection of Yorkshire cheeses.
Christmas Day dining is £100 for adults, £50 for children and £20 for little ones, with sittings planned for 1pm and 5pm.

Festive Dining in York
The celebrations don’t stop on Christmas Day. Throughout November and December, we’ll also have Christmas party and buffet menus available, making The Cumberland a great choice for festive get-togethers with friends, family or colleagues.
From September, our set menu will also be available Monday to Friday between 12pm and 6pm, ideal for an early dinner or a meal before an evening in the city. Guests visiting York City Cruises, York theatres or the Barbican can also enjoy 15% off their total bill, making it even easier to combine dinner with a day or evening out in York.
